UNIT 6- ELECTRICITY

We haven´t started with this unit but we will start with it soon (so i don´t know really how is called this unit).
I though that it would be interesting to know a little bit about what is the electricity before starting to study it because we should have an idea about it to understand, why the electricity is important in our lives and of course how does it work as a mechanism.
Electricity is not only a source it forms part in our lives and it is the future.
Here is a video about it, especially about how does a battery work
I hope you will like it.

UNIT 5 - CIRCULAR TRANSMISSION MECHANISMS

Here is a video about a miscellaneous system called bevel gears.
It is really good to know something more of this systems which we think they aren´t very important because they are so strange systems(miscellaneous) but it is the most used system in the world to join two or more mechanisms in different directions, because technology is innovation to make life easier .

UNIT 5 - CIRCULAR TRANSMISSION MACHINES

Here is a video which explains how does a friction wheel work apply to a machine (I think of building) attached to a wheel .After seen today in class the theory i think that it would be interesting to see how can you apply it to real life.
I hope you will like it

OTHER.- VALENTINE´S DAY

Valentine's Day is celebrated on 14th February, the feast day
of St. Valentine. It is a traditional celebration in which lovers,
partners and married couples express their love and affection
for each other. In some countries it is known as The Day of Lovers
or The Day of Love and Friendship.

These days it is celebrated with the exchanging of cards known as
valentines, with patterns on of hearts or Cupid; but with the rise of
the Internet the custom of exchanging virtual cards has also increased.
Common as will is the tradition of giving roses or tokens of love.
Since the nineteenth century, people have exchanged cards and gifts like
roses and chocolates. The gift of roses is common between couples,
friends and family, and the colour of the roses determines the message
expressed. For example, the red rose symbolizes love, white represents
 peace and yellow represents friendship.
However, like most holiday celebrations, Valentine's Day has been
commercialized and now many think it seems more like a celebration
organized by the shops and department stores as any hint of romanticism
 has been lost.

We will start the next week with a new topic which is the circular transmission machines.
So, I thought that it will be to now a little bit before start the unit because it is much better be prepared and have some information to understand it better .About belts and friction
Here is a video about it that i liked.I hope you will like it.

definitely i give it 9 points! try it

UNIT 4 - TRANSMISSION MACHINES

Here is a video about a use of pulleys in our lives. That is in construction because we can apply it to many machines like cranes , that´s because i have put this video, to show how does a crane work and also you can see how pulleys work.Remember:transmission machines makes our lives more confortable and easy .I hope you will like it.

OTHER- BALLON D'OR

This happened a few time ago, but I think that it's interesting. Every year, the FIFA and the magazine France Football gives the Ballon D'Or to the best football player in the World. This year, Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Real Madrid, won this prize, so he is the best player. He was very happy and he cried. He received the prize on January 13th. CR7 did an incredible season, scoring a lot of goals, so I think that Cristiano deserved it. Here you can see a video with some skills and goals of the Ballon D'Or winner.

UNIT 4- TRANSMISSION MACHINES

  • Rack and pinions are simple mechanisms where a pair of gears come together to steer a vehicle by circular and lateral motions. As the pinion, which interlocks with the rack, makes circular movements, the rack is moved side-to side.

Steering Mechanism Processes

  • As a steering wheel is turned, it spins the pinion, resulting in a series of other movements. Because the pinion moves in a circular fashion, and is attached to the rack, centrifugal force slides the rack back and forth. Tie rods are connected to each end of the rack, which activate the steering arms. Steering arms are connected to each wheel, and cause them to turn.

Benefits of Rack and Pinion Steering

  • Rack and pinion steering systems use fewer moving parts. This allows a driver to have more control over the the direction of the wheels as the car makes turns. This often reduce the amount of effort required to steer the car. Because the steering column does not directly move tie rods, rack and pinions are generally standard on most new cars and trucks. Rack and pinion steering is also smaller and requires less space than larger, conventional steering systems.
