Samsung has recognised that it needs to improve its software and has announced that it will invest 50% of their R & D resources on this objective , due to criticism in this section presentment.
Athough company chief says that Samsung is a company ' hardware ' to reaffirmed its commitment to software. So has announced its CEO , Kwon Oh- hyun , during the Samsung Analyst Day , a day in which company executives present their key business divisions to analysts and investors .
" Much of the development of technology industries is shifting from hardware to software ," said Kwon Oh- hyun . For his part , the chairman of Samsung , Lee Sang- hoon , explained that Samsung is hiring more software experts and opening research and development laboratories abroad " to address the specific needs of each region."
Kwon stated that Samsung is a company " hardware-centric ," but pointed out that they are also working on software solutions . Also, according to the CEO , will acquire " aggressively " some companies " provide good technology."
