OTHER - CHRISTMAS IN ENGLAND

In December , the houses , the streets , the shop windows lit to celebrate Christmas. Children write their letter to Santa, because Santa Claus is in England who distributes gifts and do it in the night of 24 December.
But not only children write letters , so do the adults, write  them too , and place them on the walls of the house.
A few weeks before Christmas, families prepare traditional "Christmas Pudding "and it is a dessert that the english people eat during the Christmas meal . Children and adults love the "Christmas Pudding " .
And , of course , they can´t celebrate Christmas in England without the famous " Cracker" wich is placed next to each plate. When strips on each side, a firecracker explodes and leaves a surprise.
At Christmas the children out on the streets to sing and receive chocolates . Before go to bed , they put some cookies and a glass of Porto near the Christmas tree for Santa, carrots for the reindeer , and stockings to receive their gifts .
Mistletoe .
Before , it was considered as the mistletoe plant protected from all illnesses .

However, since the eighteenth century , people kiss under the mistletoe. When a woman was standing under a sprig of mistletoe that women could not refuse to kiss a man because he could begin a romantic or friendly relationship. On the contrary , if rejected , could not marry the following year.
